Families are like fudge -- mostly sweet with a few nuts.

So it was Shea's first birthday. The ride was terrible, there was traffic the whole way so it took a little more than 2 hours, when it was only supposed to take 45 minutes...but anyways once I got there, I loved seeing everyone again. The last time I saw this side of the fam was in October for my uncle's funeral gathering. I love my fam cause its so diverse :) I love being so americanized and how my family is so open to it. Its funny cause yeah, I dont see myself dating one right now at all, but I do see myself being able to marry a white man later. Crazy, isn't it? Haha, but anyways, I love Saylor, Sage, and Shea. They're such cute nieces! 1/4 vietnamese, 3/4 white. Still got some vietnamese alive in them. Haha, but these family gatherings make me so happy cause I just cant wait to have my own family and have my own family gatherings. I looveeeeeeeee big families. So we just ate alot, played horseshoes...hahaha, jumped on the trampoline, did the cake&bday, smashed the pinata, and enjoyed each others companies. It was a good day, I don't see my family often so everytime I do, its wonderfullllll~
So, I'm just gonna ramble on different things.

Oh boy, I leave for Vietnam on Monday! So soooooooooooon~ I am SO freaking excited. Since i'm 18 and i'm going with my sister and her boyfriend, I can do wahtever the fuck I want =) whoohoo~ hahahah and my sister's bestfriend lives there now, so she can show us around and whatnot. Imma need these two weeks away from everything. Hopefully, there won't be any real down time where I can just ponder...because pondering for me is no good, haha. But yupp, i'm just super excited BUT I hope i dont get sick! because vietnam is so all over the place with sickess, haha I DONT WANNA DIE!!! so wish me well =)
I just recently saw 500 Days of Summer, it was SO good. It was the PERFECT movie for me at the PERFECT time. No kidding, I can't say why but you just gotta watch it. The movie wasnt your typically love story, which I loved because I hate all the hollywood endings. This movie had cleverness and creativity put into it which is a big plus in my book. But yuppp, it makes me feel so much better about myself and everything, but how much of that will actually play a role in my life and affect me? We'll see, time will only tell. BUT ANYWAYS, WATCH IT =)
Yesterday night I went to a small little kickback/party at VDC at UCI and it just made me that much more eager to start college. Not because of the parties, but because of the people you talk to. I love just meeting new people and talking to them on the same level. Its like I have so much in common with these people. It gets me crazy whenever I think about all this college stuff and how im dorming and wanting to join a sorority and dance and do asuci and all these other clubs and whatnot. I wanna get so involved, I just hope I have the time and hopefully keep up my grades. I am so thankful I pushed to appeal to UCI, because my laziness was there, but that last minute push got me here. It makes me feel like it was meant to be, haha. But I'm glad I got to where I deserve to be.
